Sum-Sum Summertime!!

This summer has been super-stupendous. With trips to see family and friends, storytime at the library, and a playgroup at the park the fun has been non-stop.
Miss Bethanie at Heritage square dancing to the music of Chuck Cheesman. This guy is really good at getting the little ones and big ones (a.k.a. parents) moving their feet.
Bethanie and I made a quick trip to Utah to see Bailee and met up with a friend from Idaho. Blaire and Bethanie happened to have the same jammies.
Summer always brings the beauty of flowers. Bethanie has been my little helper when it comes to keeping them healthy and happy. She loves to help water and deadhead the flowers although I did catch her on her knees licking the water off the deck like she had seen the dog Liberty do.
(Brody and Bethanie under the hammock.
They are both little adventure seekers. )
Memorial day weekend was a lot of fun. My family decided they would come our way for a campout in the cool mountains, however, our cool air turned almost brisk with lots of rain and mud. Greg and I had the brilliant idea of taking the camper out to the campsite earlier in the week so we could save a great spot for everyone who would be joining us later. Problem #1, it rained and rained and rained creating a mud pit. The day before others would be joining us for the adventure in the mud we decided we would move the trailer closer to a main road so family wouldn't get stuck in the mud (the flatlanders drive 2wd trucks). Then my father had the bright idea that we should move to the cinder ohv site north of town. So Greg and I hooked up the now very muddy camper and moved it for a third time. Yes we were the only muddy trailer at the cinders and I am sure people wondered why we had been mudboggy with a trailer in tow. The camp out was great and the best part was I didn't have to worry about a muddy baby.

Baby Bea loved the quads. Notice the fingernail polish, this was for my sanity. This was done so I couldn't see the dirt under her nails and I wouldn't constantly feel like I should be washing her hands, after all she is a kid and kids should be able to play while camping without a mom following them around with a wipee. Right?
Bailee and Zach were able to join us for the fun. It was great to see them and have them close for a little while.
