Summertime-part II
Bethanie spent a few hot days in Phoenix before heading to Delaware to see Greg. With 113 degree weather who would want to go outside? Oh yeah, those 2 year olds don't care. During the previous weekend we had a 97th birthday party for my grandpa and the ice chest still outside made a perfect make-shift cooling off station. I need to talk my parents into getting a real pool one that would fit more than these two itty bitties.
Bethanie and I flew to Delaware at the end of Greg's work trip. We stayed through the fourth of July and had fun seeing the sites. We enjoyed the National aquarium in Baltimore, a train ride in Delaware, fireworks at the University of Delaware and Historic downtown Philly. My personal favorite was the tour of Independence Hall, in my opinion it is hallowed ground. What miracles took place during the making of this country.
At the end of July we had the opportunity to attend the extended Russell family reunion. We enjoyed visiting with family and participating in all the fun things to do. We rafted the Snake river, hiked in the Grand Tetons, and spent time in Yellowstone. Thanks to Grandpa Russell for all the time and energy he spent organizing such a wonderful get together. One of the highlights of visiting Yellowstone is the wildlife. This visit we were able to see a bear, elk, bison (buffalo), and a marmot. Before our trip Bethanie had discovered moose while watching the movie Brother Bear so we all hoped we would see one but never did. Bethanie had to settle for the stuffed variety.

What a fun summer you have had! Why in the world do we not get together more often? That's it! We're gonna buy the house next door to yours and Jared can commute to work! Love ya!
I love that she held her own hand that cracks me up!
We all got a kick out of her holding her own hand, especially Tyler! He laughed and has retold the story a few times!
