What a TRIP!

Trip 1:
A 6AM roadtrip starting 10 minutes late, 2 flat tires before leaving city limits, 6 necessary stops contributing to a 12 hour road trip instead of an 8.5 hour trip.  3 hours spent in the SLC airport with 2.5 hours more in the PHX airport riding on 1 big plane and 1 little scary plane.  1 geologist sitting in front of me pointing out, to the Florida native, all the reasons I love Arizona but tend to take for granted.

2 mommies who were grateful the 2 flats happened so close to home. 12 hours spent in the car with 1 wonderful daughter who I love dearly and her beautiful baby boy who provided endless smiles for the trip.  5 great friends willing to watch the bug while I was gone & 1 extended family of 7 who repeatedly take care of me on my visits.

Trip 2:
5AM wake up call ignored for 1 extra hour of sleep before a 3+ hour trip.  1 shredded serpentine belt taking out the fan clutch causing overheating of power steering and the radiator 53 miles east of Yuma, Arizona.  60 minutes spent waiting for a tow truck while entertaining a 2 year old by the side of a very busy freeway.  1 truck at the Yuma dealership for repairs & 1 rental truck later we arrived 8 hours late for our relaxing trip to the dunes.  Wind gusts causing each of us to eat more sand than we would have liked on the 1 day we could really spend exploring the dunes.  81 degree weather inside and outside the truck on our trip home making 1 more trip to the dealership.  Another 8 hours later we crash at my parents fully exhausted from our relaxing trip.

1 toddler who was a great sport, 1 husband who was still off work regardless and 1 mommy loving time with family and friends.  81 degree weather which means 0 snow and the added benefit of much needed vitamin D.  Grateful for 1 extended truck warranty and 1 dealership who completed their work when they said they would.  All home safe and sound enjoying our comfortable beds.

There is always 2 ways to look at every adventure.  I prefer looking for the good and laughing at the bad.  Here's to more adventures in the future.

So sorry about the crazy adventures you have had in your travels, but I am glad that you are all safe and sound. Maybe if you traveled to Payson bad things wouldn't happen! ;) Love ya!
