Helping Hands
Bethanie has discovered the joy of being a little helper. She insisted on helping Greg mow the lawn on Saturday and last night she discovered there were bubbles lots of bubbles in the sink after I washed dishes. She stood on a stool for at least an hour while I finished cleaning the kitchen after a party we had last night. I could hardly get her out of the bubbles when the kitchen was clean and I was ready to call it a night. I suppose it is time that I let her help especially while she thinks it is fun. After all that only last a short time. Soon enough she will be a teenager who detests all the chores her mean parents make her do. We know from experience where this is headed. I remember Bailee always needing to go to the restroom when we started dishes after dinner and all the reminders to finish her to-do-list. The reward came when she called from college thanking us for teaching her how to clean and to appreciate cleanliness. Yes! The headache of being a mean parent (slave driver) does pay off sooner or later. So for now we will enjoy our little helping hands while she thinks all things new are fun.

Kaylee loves to help my mom water the grden... and boy is she HELPFUL!
I'm sorry that in my teenage years I had a small bladder that needed to be relieved often, especially when chores needed to be done:) You have to admit I'd always come back and help...unless I forgot and you had to remind me:) Can't wait to see that helper!
Alex was just like Bailee! Chores start...he's gone :-) I'm kidding...mostly. Your little girl is so sweet! Hope all is well!
